Prodigy, born Albert Johnson, was an acclaimed American rapper, who, as part of the duo Mobb Deep, achieved worldwide recognition for their hardcore hip-hop music.

Prodigy was an American rapper and one half of the hip-hop duo Mobb Deep. He was best known for his dark lyricism and hardcore East Coast rap. Prodigy is widely-considered one of the greatest rap lyricists of all time, having co-written songs which were released by multiple artists including Nas, Havoc and LL Cool J.
